How do I book an appointment?

Here at 227 Tattoo, we pride ourselves in giving our clients exactly what they are looking for. We set up a free consultation with one of artists best suited for the task at hand. From there we will book you in accordingly, for actual tattoo time. Our artists are highly sought out, which means we DO NOT offer Walk-ins.

 

Please call the studio to book a free consultation appointment to discuss your ideas with the artist of your choice. All clients are required to reserve their tattoo appointments with a deposit. Deposits are $60.00 per hour booked.

We do not book appointments via e-mail, Facebook or Instagram.

 
What is a consultation?

Consultations are a free half hour meeting with the artist of your choice to discuss your tattoo ideas. During your consultation you will submit any reference material (pictures, etc) you have collected and discuss the details you would like included in your original design. Details include subject matter, size, placement, and colour scheme. Once the artist feels they have sufficient information to proceed with your design, they will give you a reasonable estimate for cost and time.

 

How much does it cost?
 

At 227 Tattoo we charge an hourly shop rate of $170.00, with a shop minimum of $100.00. Tattoo prices are adjusted based on actual tattoo time. During your free half hour consultation your artist will give you a reasonable estimate for cost and time.

 

What types of payment do you accept?
 

We accept cash, debit and e-transfer.

Do I have to pay a deposit?  What if I cancel?
 

Yes, all tattoo appointments will require a deposit of $60.00 for every hour of time booked in order to hold your appointment. 1 hour = $60.00, 2 hours = $120.00, etc. If you have booked multiple tattoo appointments, you will only put down a deposit for your first appointment. Deposits are accepted in CASH only.

 

Your deposit will be held until your final tattoo appointment, at which time it will be deducted from your total amount owing for that day.

 

We require at least 48 hours notice if you wish to cancel or reschedule your tattoo appointment, otherwise you forfeit your deposit. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

 

Do you sell gift certificates?
 

Yes, we most certainly do! Gift certificates can be made out in any denomination. Gift certificates are a fantastic idea for that person who is hard to shop for.

 

How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
 

We require that all tattoo recipients be consenting adults, at least 18 years of age or older. We do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18, regardless of parental consent.

 

Is everything sterilized, are you inspected?
 

Absolutely. We are required to accommodate random inspections by the Middlesex London Health Unit on a bi-annual basis. During which time the inspector does a thorough inspection of our facility, tools and supplies. 

 

Every product used at the shop is 'one time use' and disposable including all needles and barriers used during the tattoo procedure. Everything is prepackaged and nothing is ever reused. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and secure environment for our clients and staff.

 

May I bring a friend?
 

At this time due to the risks with COVID-19, we are not allowing any guests to attend your consultation appointment or tattoo sitting.

May I bring my kids with me to my appointment?

 

At this time due to the risks with COVID-19, we are not allowing any guests or children to attend your consultation appointment or tattoo sitting.

Please make arrangements for your child to be taken care of outside of the studio as children are a definite distraction to you, the artists and the other clientele. The staff is not able to help take care of your children.

 

May I receive a tattoo when I am pregnant?
 

Please speak to your family doctor for more information.  This is a crucial time for you and your baby and any chance, even limited, of complications should be avoided.

 

Does it hurt?
 

Yes, tattooing does hurt, but for most it is not an unbearable pain. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, so you will have to make your own judgement call as to whether you are an appropriate candidate to receive a tattoo. Most people compare it to a bad sunburn or a cat scratch, and usually after the procedure they comment that it really wasn't that bad.

 

Do you offer piercing?
 

No, we do not offer piercings.
